• What is the goal of the project?
The goal of this project is to present Google search data on food seasonality in the United States and select countries aboard over the last twelve years.


• Which academic fields (i.e history) do you see the project in conversation with?
History because this project shows trends.
Psychology/Sociology based why are some foods popular at different times.
Math/Stats for further statistical investigation.


• Does the site make an argument? If so, what?
There is not an argument. This site focuses on presentation.
What are the components? (i.e essay, interactive map, etc)
Interactive Data tables and maps. Data videos(hitting a play button to show data)


• Which methods are used?
Google Knowledge and FooDB: Comparing Frequency and Time of year.


Who is the target audience? (i.e. specialists? a broader public?)
Specialists: Dietitians, restaurateurs, food scientists.


• What kinds of data is being used? Is the data available for broader use? Would you want it to be?
The broader data is free and open to use, but the more granular analysis is harder to find for the average person.


• Is the project open source/ open access?
The frameworks in the presentation are open source, but data modification is not.


• Who made the website? What are their relationships to the institution?
