I’m excited to have my own website for the first time. Part of it is the ability to post content on it, which I’m sure we will be doing for class, but also so I can explore the various ways in which the site can be customized and edited with functions like Simple Custom CSS and the Code Editor tab on posts. I don’t know what I’ll do with this website outside of class but I can imagine using it to hold writing or as a professional site later on.
I think the benefit of having your own website instead of using a hosted service or social media platform is the flexibility it allows you. I think “rolling my own” website will make it easier for me to customize the site and to explore the more technological sides to website maintenance.

Based on your post and your about me page, it seems like you have some prior experience with coding. I’m curious to see if that will enable you to do lots of fun and exciting things with your website and how you use those skills to your advantage.
