I created my first website at alexeithomas.com. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, fiddling with design and making it my own space made me feel a sense of importance. As it is a blog, I plan on using it for thoughts, stories or other things that I find interesting or important!
Though making this website was fun, I feel the drawback of making a blog about myself is that there’s millions like mine out there. To make my blog noticeable I must find a theme or a common topic that I can provide insight on for the reader. However, the positives of having my own website is that well…. it’s my own! Unlike social media I control how my ideas and thoughts are presented to the world. Instagram is one of the most well known social media platforms but its very limited in its presentation. Everyone has a page with photos and captions nothing more nothing less. However, with my website through coding I can affect every aspect of my site.
