Squirrels and Food Vendors

Using ArcGIS was a really interesting process. I have not used GIS or other mapping tools before, and it was interesting to explore all the data already available through the Living Atlas Layers. My map consists of the squirrel data (numbers of squirrels by fur color) and food vendor data (number of food vendors by type). I had a hard time finding additional layers that pertained to Central Park specifically, so the food data is mostly in the neighborhoods north of Central Park.

I also added a layer of recycling usage (shown in units of possibility an adult has to recycle). This again shows Central Park as one unit, so there is not much data to compare to the squirrel data. It is still interesting to compare the layers in terms of squirrels, food vendors, and recycling. If I were to do this again I would spend more time attempting to find a layer that has to do with Central Park specifically.
