If you are looking for a site that allows you to find where certain British writers or any writers lived in the London area then the Authorial London is the site you want to take a look at. This site not only provides a service just like the one recently mentioned, but it also allows you to research the works of writers who lived in the London area as well. It allows you to analyze the writers works through a biological, geographical, and literary way. You can also figure out and see what writers unknowingly or knowingly lived next to or near each other and you can also see just how many famous and non-famous writers lived in the London area. The sources used in the site were the works of writers who lived in London. The site also used the geo-rectified versions of raster scans from the Harvard College Library Digital Map Collection. The process consisted of geocoding, geo-referencing, and geotagged corpus. This site was presented by using maps such as google maps, the use of a hybrid JavaScript, a Ruby-on-Rails and PostgreSQL database backend, Backbone/Marionette framework, Leaflet/MapBox for mapping, JQuery, and D3.js.
