Carleton During Times of War

Our project looks at enrollment statistics from the years 1940-1945 and 1967-1976  as well as textual analysis of issues of The Carletonian from the same years. Our aim in this project is to better understand the campus’ attitude toward the two wars in comparison to each other. We were interested in this topic because both of us are very interested in the history of Carleton as it pertains to the Vietnam war specifically. In order to comprehend this relationship, however, we found it was helpful to compare data to another time period, leading us logically to data from World War II. Check out our website here!
