Introduction The Alexander Faribault House (AFH), located at 12 1st Ave NE, Faribault, MN 55021, is a hallmark of Faribault’s extensive, yet unassuming history. Built in 1853 in the Greek Revival style, this house was one of the first frame houses in Faribault, but joined a collection of ‘pioneer houses’ that were built in Minnesota during this time period; many of these pioneer houses were built in the nascent state

When conducting research for the spatial narrative piece that supplements our exterior model, we had to be considerate of our scope so that we would overlap as little as possible with the interior modeling group. This meant the focal research points had to be mostly unrelated to the interior shifts, in terms of the house’s floor plans. The Alexander Faribault House, located at 12 1st Ave NE in Faribault, Minnesota, stands crookedly at a 25º angle to the street as an important monument in the region’s settlement history as the first woodframe house in Rice County, and is one of the oldest in the state of Minnesota. In collaboration with the Rice County Historical Society, this project centered around creating a photogrammetric model of the Alexander Faribault
