Databases

There are disadvantages and advantages to flat file and relational databases. A little background of flat file databases are designed around a single table. This design allows all database information to be put into one table or list. Although, if you choose to combine two data files, you must manually copy and paste the information because there is no automatic process. For example, if there was a change in information on one file, it will not reflect on another one. Designing flat file databases are simple and use very little knowledge.

Relational databases uses multiple tables for the use of sharing data across networks, the internet, with other laptops, and other software systems. This database allows to define record fields, combine tables and run searches. The relational database design is more complex than the flat file database design. It must show how the data is organized such as the data structure, integrity, and storage.

On another note, my website design is going well. I am still trying to figure out how I want my website to reflect me. I’m not totally sure what the bigger picture is but when it happens, it’ll look amazing. But for now, the only thing that is frustrating is the plug-ins and the downloads needed.
