Hello, my name is Taylor Kang, and I’m a junior at Carleton College, majoring in Computer Science. Throughout this Spring 2023 course, I had the opportunity to explore various topics related to mapping and deep mapping.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I am actively involved in extracurricular activities on campus. I play on the women’s golf team, which allows me to stay active and engaged in a sport I love. I am also a part of SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee), KSA (Korean Student Association), and Hack4Impact, where I can contribute my skills and passion to meaningful projects.

Originally from Pleasanton, CA, I have experienced a stark contrast in the environment between my hometown and Northfield. However, I have come to appreciate the unique beauty of Northfield, including its distinct four seasons and the warmth of its “Minnesota nice” residents. During my free time, I enjoy spending quality moments with my friends, playing with my dog, and exploring new recipes in the kitchen. I have a deep love for travel as it allows me to immerse myself in new cultures and food and capture captivating photographs.
