Hiya! My name is Sophie Quinn and during this Spring 2023 course, I am a sophomore at Carleton. I am majoring in Computer Science and minoring in German and History. However, I love to explore classes in many different departments. I am also involved with the Nova Ultimate Frisbee team, intramural sports, and the dance community at Carleton. This term, you can hear me on Saturday mornings on KRLX 88.1 in my radio debut.

I grew up in Oxford, MS, which is quite a different place than Northfield, even though they are both small college towns. I am happy to now be living in a place with a real winter and a reasonably warm summer. In my free time, I’m often reading, watching TV, frolicking outside, or hanging out with my friends. I love traveling (especially by train), eating good food, and learning languages. Pictured below are some of my favorite train-related pictures from my study abroad trip in Germany last fall.
